Hello! I am César, this week’s analyst.
With this task, we have discovered the TPACK and ACAD approaches, which are great tools to self-evaluate as a teacher and discover our weak points. Not only can they help us evaluate our knowledge and capacities, but also how we put them into practice in our teaching environment.
The best part of the activity was doing the information maps. We found a useful tool for creating information maps that we will make sure to make use of in the future. On the other hand, the worst part was looking for the relationships between the components of ACAD, as we struggled to find information about it on the Internet. We could not access the original document provided and had to look for information about ACAD on our own.
On Sunday, the feeling of completing the work was probably the best feeling we had. Not only because we felt relieved, but also because we discovered two new useful frameworks that could be very helpful in our future as teachers.
The worst moment was also on Sunday, as it was the only day that we could complete the task and we felt stressed when we started working, as the deadline was near. We would have loved to do it earlier, but there was a mix-up and we had to postpone it.
We definitely need to keep helping each other solve problems as the task was much easier to complete together. Even if it is a bit complicated to organize a call with all of us working at the same time, it pays off with the help we can give each other.
For next week, we need to organise ourselves before meeting, so that we do not complete the task near the deadline again. It was a mistake for which we are to blame, and we will make sure this does not happen again.
As mentioned in our task, one of the things we felt was missing from the TPACK-ACAD framework was the importance of tutoring our students’ development, and I think investigating these approaches made us realize the relevance of not trusting a single framework.
In my opinion, Rugiya deserves a 3 as she improved from last week’s performance, but she still had some connection problems. Celia and Noelia both deserve a 5 as they tried to solve many problems we encountered while doing the task. Alejandro deserves a 3, since he completed his work without many problems. Iván deserves a 2, because he struggled with the work he was given and made the workflow slower. I believe I deserve a 4, because I completed all the questions I had to do and made the information maps, although I feel like I did slightly worse than last week.
