Hi! I’m Noelia and this week I am the translator. Here are the five terms we worked on:
TPACK: a framework for teacher knowledge that focuses on technological integration. According to this framework, technology is a fundamental component of the teaching action, so it must be integrated in order to develop effective teaching.
ACAD: a teaching framework that is based on the analysis and design of complex learning environments. Basically, it is an activity centred framework, as it establishes that learning is based on what people do.
Technology: it is not just an add on, but the future of education and an integral part of any teaching practice.
Activity: the basis of the ACAD framework, as in order to learn people need to think, feel, perceive, talk, make, move, etc.
Information Map: It is a research-based method of outlining clearly the information that is to be transmitted to the audience.

QUESTION: Will teachers truly be able to integrate technology into their practice?
Technology has proven vital for education. However, as can be seen not all teachers use it to its full potential in and out of the classroom. Despite the fact that the younger generation of educators is prepared to teach in this way, the older generation will be hard to re-educate in terms of technological integration. Therefore, frameworks such as the ones discussed in this week’s activity are extremely important in palliating the divide between teachers and the intended learning strategies.
